Transforming event waste into community resources: Event Cycle honoured at IU Alumni Awards 2024

We’re thrilled to spotlight Event Cycle, founded by IU alumna Carina Jandt, which has been recognised in the Sustainability category at this year's IU Alumni Awards.

Based in London, Event Cycle is revolutionising the events industry by providing sustainable solutions that focus on reducing waste and repurposing materials for charitable and community use.

By transforming excess event materials into valuable resources for schools, charities, and social enterprises, Event Cycle is promoting a circular economy and setting new standards for environmental responsibility within the industry.

This year, the public had the opportunity to vote on Instagram for their favourite initiatives, with Carina’s impactful work receiving widespread acclaim.

You can view Carina's Instagram reel about her project here.

Congratulations to Carina and the Event Cycle team for their pioneering efforts toward a more sustainable and socially responsible future!
