IU’s lecture series on sustainable architecture and construction continues through July

The IU International University’s (IU's) online lecture series Aspects of Sustainability is currently underway, offering a dynamic platform for exploring the future of sustainable architecture and construction. Open to all—including non-architects and external guests—the series brings together renowned voices from academia and practice to discuss how the built environment can respond to the climate and resource crisis through innovative design, research, and collaboration.

Following a strong start in late June and early July, the series continues with a rich line-up of lectures throughout the month. Further sessions are also planned for the upcoming academic year starting in October.

About the Series

Aspects of Sustainability reflects the current discourse on the transformation of the built environment. It focuses on how sustainability in architecture and the construction sector can be conceived, researched, and implemented—both today and in the future. Given the construction industry’s significant impact on climate and resources, the series highlights forward-thinking architectural practices that go beyond conventional approaches.

Each lecture presents diverse and sometimes contrasting perspectives—from experimental research to built projects—offering insights into ecological, technical, cultural, and social dimensions of sustainable design.
