Renewed ClimatePartner label for IU Group

We're happy to announce that IU Group has renewed its climate neutrality certification with ClimatePartner, a renowned solutions provider for climate action!

The label confirms that IU Group has compensated its carbon emissions for the year 2022 by contributing to the implementation of officially certified climate projects in Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Cambodia, Uganda and Malawi.

Apart from compensating our carbon footprint, by supporting these projects we have also contributed to social development in the respective communities by improving access to drinking water and improving conditions for food preparation.

This time, we have supported these five climate projects:

- Improved cookstoves in Nyungwe, Rwanda (6 300 tCO2e, also compliant with UN SDGs 3, 7 & 13)

- Clean drinking water in Kono, Sierra Leone (6 300 tCO2e, also compliant with UN SDGs 3, 5, 6 & 13)

- Clean drinking water in Kompong Chnang, Cambodia (1 800 tCO2e, also compliant with UN SDGs 3, 13 & 15)

- Improved cookstoves in Uganda, countrywide (1 800 tCO2e, also compliant with UN SDGs 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13 & 15)

- Clean drinking water in Kasungu, Malawi (1 800 tCO2e, also compliant with UN SDGs 3, 4, 5, 6, 13 & 15)
